Why Add Avocado Oil To Camel Milk

We use cold pressed Avocado Oil in four of our products. Why? Well, Avocado oil is very concentrated in monounsaturated fatty acids, phytosterols, vitamin E and other antioxidants. And we only use the purest cold pressed avocado oil because the minimal refinement of cold pressed Avocado Oil preserves more of the important plant sterols, chlorophyll, Vitamin E and other antioxidants.

Restorative Creams

A little Avocado Oil goes a long way, particularly on the face. CameLife’s Restorative Night Cream and Restorative Eye Cream contain small quantities of the oil, adding additional Vitamin E and enhancing the natural anti-oxidant properties of the milk.

Facial Cleansing Products

Our Facial Cleansing Bar uses Avocado Oil in its base, because the oil is one of the richest sources of beneficial monounsaturated fatty acids like oleic acid. These fats can have an immediate effect on the texture and appearance of your skin because avocado oil is extremely good at hydrating and softening your skin. Our Cleansing Bar nourishes and moisturises as it cleanses.

Nourishing Body Mousse

At 15% by weight, Avocado Oil is the main oil in the base for our new Nourishing Body Mousse, giving it a delicate green hue. In order to create a mousse, we need an oil base, so we chose one that is both highly nourishing and moisturising on its own!

Why Not Just Use Avocado Oil?

There are plenty of advocates for using Avocado Oil as a moisturiser on its own. Indeed, some simply apply raw avocado without pressing it. So perhaps we should reverse our opening question and ask “why add camel milk to Avocado Oil?”

For a start, Avocado Oil isn’t particularly easily absorbed through the skin. When applied, the skin can feel and appear greasy until the oil has been absorbed, which doesn’t occur as quickly as some moisturisers. But Camel Milk is absorbed almost instantaneously, ensuring that the Avocado Oil is absorbed quickly and efficiently.

When used as a base for skincare products, Camel Milk can enhance the benefits of other ingredients by improving their penetration and by stimulating local micro-circulation.

When developing CameLife skincare products, we actively seek natural ingredients which complement the benefits of the milk itself in what is known as an Ensemble Effect.
