Camel Milk and CBD
Two Ancient Natural Medicines Combined
I suffer from plantar fasciitis, a common and painful cause of pain in the bottom of the heel and the arch of the foot. The condition occurs when the band of strong tissue that supports the arch of the foot gets inflamed and irritated. It's often caused by too much running, but there are other triggers; it comes on quickly and can be very debilitating.
Conventional treatment can include physiotherapy and massage, orthopaedic footwear and pain killers to manage the pain. The pain can be excruciating and sometimes the conventional methods for managing the condition just don't work. I've tried them all, but sometimes just takes time and rest. I've had bouts of plantar fasciitis on and off for 15 years and sometimes they take months to heal.
Last weekend, I went to put my boots on and felt some discomfort in my left foot. Within an hour, couldn't put weight on my foot. But this time I had my secret weapon; The Happy Camel Balm! Our customers have been telling us how good this cream is for relieving chronic pain; now I've seen it myself. Within a day, the pain had gone.
The Happy Camel Balm
The Happy Camel Balm uses a base made from fermented fruits and vegetables blended with hemp seed oil. The base is high in essential, including zinc, magnesium, manganese, calcium, potassium, copper and selenium. Magnesium is particularly helpful for managing joint pain and cramps.
We emulsify camel milk with the vegetable base. The milk is packed with anti-inflammatory Omega fatty acids and protective proteins and is easily absorbed through the skin, taking with it all of the added ingredients.
And then we add full plant extract CBD oil, containing all of the cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids found in the Cannabis Sativa plant.
That's our little pot of magic! We believe the blend of minerals, camel milk and whole plant CBD is a game changer in managing muscular, skeletal and nerve pain.
How To Use The Happy Camel Balm
The Happy Camel Balm is quite a heavy, oily cream because we use powdered milk in its manufacture. It isn't greasy like a beeswax based balm, but its still thick and luxuriant. Thats a good thing - you don't need much of it!
Generally, a pea-sized ball of cream is enough. On the first day of use, apply the cream every four hours or so, until you get relief. You should get immediate relief from the pain but then the ingredients will start to do their longer term anti-inflammatory magic.
I was completely pain free from plantar fasciitis within a day and that is not uncommon. Some people find that The Happy Camel Balm gives short term relief, but they need to combine it with an oral CBD oil for long term relief.
Do Cannbididiol (CBD) Creams Work?
If you’re in Australia looking for a cannabidiol (CBD) product to soothe your aches and pains, you don't have much choice. The gummies, capsules and oils that abound elsewhere aren't available here in Australia.
CBD products are common place elsewhere and are widely used to alleviate pain. For muscle or joint pain a topical CBD product can be particularly useful as it gets CBD right to the source of the pain.
But does a CBD cream really help with pain? Its still early days, but research into CBD’s pain-relieving capabilities is promising. And that research is backed by a wealth of anecdotal evidence from users of CBD creams who swear by its effect.
We do know that topical CBD products can help with a variety of pain sensations, including; arthritis-related pain, nerve pain and pain associated with muscular strains and injuries. Studies have found that people who apply topical CBD about two times a day experience a lot less pain after two weeks than control groups.
Our own experience backs this up; in fact, people report immediate pain relief, particularly in the peripheral joints like knees, hands, neck and elbows.
