WHY CAMEL ALBUMIN
The little white flecks in a bar of PSO Soap are albumin, the protein commonly associated with egg whites. Albumin has long been used in skin health products for its anti-inflammatory and calming properties. It was often extracted from cows blood. But camels are unique; their urine contains albumin.
Camel urine is very different from other mammalian urine; it's a thick syrupy liquid with no noticeable smell of urea. It's been used for skincare and haircare for thousands of years and has a long track record of being used medicinally in the Arab world and India, particularly for treating psoriasis.
We were asked if we could make a soap containing camel urine and here it is!
